In the story dead stars it teaches us that sometimes we are so drawn to what we believe we want that we become ignorant to the fact that it is not what we actually need or want. It’s like an illusion. The scene that i will consider as the climax is when alfredo meets julia even though he is already engaged to esperanza and that’s where alfredo seemed uncertain to his decisions. He cannot decide between his needs and wants.

ORSAL, KYRAH MAE- LITERATURE The Dead Stars tells us the pressure from our society that we need to follow even though our hearts and minds oppose it. Just like Alfredo, Alfredo is pressured to marry Esperanza because their families agreed to it, as the story goes on Alfredo falls for Julia even though he is getting married to Esperanza. From that we can see that no matter what we feel about the things we want, we cannot have it. When Alfredo meets Julia everything falls apart, even though is engaged to Esperanza, Alfredo still meets Julia and makes happy memories with her. This scene I consider as the climax because it will show how Alfredo fight his feelings between Esperanza and Julia.
